Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Northern California Pug Club to ensure ongoing public benefit from purebred Pug dogs through programs and activities:

• To encourage and promote quality in the ethical breeding of purebred Pugs and to do everything possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection

• To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Pugs shall be judged

• To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsman-like competition at dog shows, obedience trials and similar events

• To conduct sanctioned and licensed matches, specialty shows, obedience, agility trials and other events for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club
