Editor's Note: Pug Pen is published quarterly. The Pug Pen welcomes short, original articles of general interest to our membership. We will try to publish your articles providing the topic is appropriate and there is available space. We may need to lightly edit copy for grammar or space. Unfortunately, we are not able to pay writers for published articles. We encourage new columnists and photos of your pugs for Pugs Rule and The Pup Pen! This is your newsletter, so don't hesitate to pick up the phone or drop us an email if there is something you'd like to publish in Pug Pen.

We also rely on advertising, so send us your wins or your business to advertise! Please note, ads will only be published in the Pug Pen on a pre-paid basis.

Contributed articles and advertisement copy are best submitted in MS Word format, if possible, with photographs e-mailed in jpeg format. Hard copy photographs for advertising in Pug Pen should be mailed directly to Scott Ewart at the above address.

Please send payments for advertising in Pug Pen directly to the NCPC Treasurer, Susan Phillips, 2031 Adele Place, San Jose, CA 95125. Checks should be made payable to "NCPC."

	* NOTE: Changes to Advertising Rates for NCPC Pug Pen
1.	Any ad that needs to be designed from a simple text email for publication by the Pug Pen editors will be charged an additional $5 for the placement of the ad. Ads that are presented to the editors close to how the ad will look when published are exempt from this additional charge.
2.	We now offer a "Premium Placement" option that has been added to the advertising rate structure. This will allow, on a first-come, first-served basis, for the current Pug Pen edition only, request for placement in the following locations: Inside Front Cover (2 available), Center Pages (2 available), and Inside Back Cover (2 available). Requesting placement in these locations will be an additional $5 for the ad ($8 for non-members). All remaining ads will be placed throughout the remainder of the publication in the order they were received.
