| Titles: |
Pele finished her Rally
Novice (RN) title in two days, qualifying at the first
three trials she entered (all-breed trials, at
that!). On the day she earned her title, she
made up proud by placing 3rd with a score of 97 (out
of a possible 100)! She has two points toward
her Championship (having gone Best of Winners her
first weekend out) and we may yet be back in the
conformation ring with her before we're
done.
|
| Favorite
food: |
STEAK,
but hot dogs, liver, hard boiled eggs, or chicken
will all do in a pinch.
|
| Favorite
toy: |
Gumabone
wishbone, plush "Celestial" star squeeky or
any of her many Babble Balls (fortunately, her
fascination with the "flatulence" babble ball
has waned).
|
| Likes: |
Pele
loves her little Celestial "sister"
Celestial Maui Rain ('Ulalena), enjoys going for morning
walks especially on weekends (when we don't have to
rush and can run on the big lawn at the school), bath
time, cuddling on the sofa, having her ears and tummy
rubbed, earning treats, running after 'Uli to get her
toy back and most of all, seeing Susan come home from
work.
|
| Dislikes: |
Having
her nails ground, going to shows and BIG DOGS (she
remembers being rushed by a big dog at a show soon
after she started showing in conformation and has never
forgotten!), the UPS man and (sometimes) her Pug Pal
Morgan, who has been known to be a bit of a prima donna,
on occasion.
|
| Home
companions: |
Celestial
Maui Rain ('Ulalena) and CH. Bayvue's Hot to Trot
(Morgan), and her faithful retainer, Susan.

| About
the owner: |
Pele is
co-owned by Danielle Campi, founder of Celestial Pugs,
and Susan Phillips. Pele enjoys the pug good
life with Susan in San Jose, California, where she is
widely admired by friends, neighbors, vets and dog
trainers/handlers as the nicest, sweetest-tempered pug
ever--and those eyes...large, black inky pools
(sometimes ablaze with volcanic fire as you may expect
from a pug named for a Hawaiian volcano goddess!).
