Whatever

toy: |
Used
to be a 100# male Akita named Howard, until he went to
the bridge last year.
Tuffy still misses him & although he will
play with Howard’s son & daughter (Iko &
Dori), their favorite game is "roll the
Pug." Toys
aren’t any fun unless there’s someone to keep them
away from. We’re hoping he will teach that to Harley.

| Likes: |
GIRLS,
any species. SHOWING
OFF at the end of a leash, as long as we aren’t in
the show ring. FOOD,
but only if he doesn’t have to work for it.
|
| Dislikes: |
Showing,
except every once in a while.
Having his nails done & his teeth brushed
– it’s not manly don’t you know.
Oh, & crates or places with solid sides
that are smaller than Akita sized (500 VariKennel).

Other
than Iko & Dori, there are the girls: his half
sister Martha, a black bitch Wheezie & a fawn
bitch Olympia. Soon
to be joining the bunch is a black boy from Canada
named Harley.

| About
the Owner: |
Brenda
& her mother Donna got their first Pug in 1962 and
then got back into Pugs in 1993 when they went to see
a litter of pug pups & brought home the runt,
Rawhide’s Anne Kelsey.
At her first show in 2001, they purchased a
second Pug, Sheng Chee Blaque Diva, who finished her
championship the next year.
When they purchased Diva, Chester & Edwin
had a younger litter at home with a very shy boy in
it. Boy
#3 came to visit their set up at the Gridley shows the
next month & when he ran up to the Akitas' x-pen
& barked at them it became clear -- he wasn’t
really shy, he was just not too sure of himself.
Brenda & Donna bought him & Howard
taught him enough self-confidence to go into the show
ring & win Best of Breed from the classes; all but
4 minor points were owner-handled toward his
championship.
